'West B'luru had most people exposed to Covid'

The exposure to SARS-CoV-2, the virus that causes Covid-19, was highest in the west zone in Bengaluru, according to findings of the serosurvey. While the serosurvey put Covid-19 prevalence in Bengaluru Urban district at 29.8 % overall, in the west zone it was almost half the population at 45.6%.

“This means that the core areas of Bengaluru had already seen a surge,” said V Ravi, technical advisory committee member, and professor, head, department of neurovirology, Nimhans.
