1 in 4 women experience ‘sexual abuse’ by their partners: Report

According to The Lancet, one in four or 27 percent of women are victims of intimate partner violence before the age of 50.

Researchers at McGill University and the WHO examined the health records of over 2 million women from 161 countries, and found that one in seven women (or 13%) experiences intimate partner violence. The analysis also reveals high rates of violence against young women.
