3,500 from TN can attend Katchatheevu Church Feast 

The festival of St Antony’s church at the ceded Katchatheevu islet will be held on March 3 and 4. A total of 3,500 people from Tamil Nadu will be allowed to visit the islet for the festivities. Altogether, 8,000 people including Sri Lankan officials and catholic priests from both nations will attend the two-day event. The festival will conclude with a grand Eucharist celebration by priests from both countries on March 4 after which the festival flag will be brought down.
