40-foot-long wall collapses in Vartak Nagar, Thane; no casualties reported

A 40-foot-long wall collapsed behind Viviana Mall in Vartak Nagar area of Thane West in Maharashtra, Thane Municipal Corporation said. No injuries were reported. In a rare event, the monsoon on Sunday covered both Delhi and Mumbai together. While it hit Delhi two days early, its entry into Mumbai is two weeks late, according to the IMD. Heavy rains affected vehicular movement on some roads. Water-logging in areas like Malad and Andheri slowed down the traffic further.
