The Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) awarded Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s latest film Gangubai Kathiawadi the UA certificate, indicating that it is suitable for audiences of all ages. The film, which stars Alia Bhatt, is based on Hussain Zaidi’s book Mafia Queens of Mumbai.

A sequence depicting Gangubai’s interaction with former Indian Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru was also changed. The visuals of the late PM “embedding a rose on Gangubai’s shoulder” were changed, and a 43-second dialogue was removed.
