Just as the Bharat Jodo Yatra was pulling into Indore last month, Kranti Banjare, one of its over 125 yatris, collapsed due to severe pain in her abdomen. Diagnosed with kidney and gallbladder stones, she was advised of emergency surgery. Banjare said she would prefer to continue walking, but Digvijaya Singh insisted she is treated. Eleven days after her surgery, Banjare returned to the Bharat Jodo Yatra camp.
