Chennai customs sniffer dog detects drugs worth Rs 5.35 crore in Ugandan woman’s luggage

The K-9 squad of Chennai customs has helped catch a Ugandan woman, who was carrying drugs worth Rs 5.35 crore from Ethiopia. Though the Ugandan woman they intercepted had not hidden anything in her body, customs officials on suspicion searched her luggage. The box was torn and drugs hidden as layers were seized. Customs officials said that the woman carried 1.5 kg of methaqualone and 644 grams of heroin.
