Chennai sees decline in number of Covid-19 containment zones

The number of Covid-19 containment zones in Chennai has decreased from 497 on January 21 to 424 on January 29. The Greater Chennai Corporation marks a street with more than 10 positive cases a containment zone.
According to data shared by the corporation, there are 887 streets with six to 10 cases each and 2,286 streets with three to five cases. The city currently has 42,000 active cases.
