Construction of super collider on Moon could begin by 2070s, says CERN physicist

While countries have proposed setting up bases on the Moon, a physicist from CERN has an even bigger proposal- to set up a Large Hadron Collider (LHC) encircling the Moon.

James Beacham, a physicist at the Switzerland-based CERN, has been part of the ATLAS project with the Large Hadron Collider. His latest idea, while radical, could prove to be a reality in the coming future as humans expand their interplanetary footprint.
