Court denies Mumbai police custody of lawyer held in Pawar house attack case

A court in Girgaon accepted Kolhapur police’s plea to seek custody of Gunaratna Sadavarte in the protest incident near Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) chief Sharad Pawar’s house earlier this month.
A case for making provocative statements against the Maratha community had been registered against Sadavarte in Kolhapur.
