Covid-19 cases spike in Malappuram after a lull

Covid-19 cases have begun to rise again after a lull in the Malappuram district. As many as 4,037 fresh cases were reported in the district on Tuesday with a test positivity rate (TPR) of 13.97%.

The number of infected persons under treatment in the district rose to 21,603 even as 2,214 patients recovered from the disease on Tuesday.
