Since the first wave of COVID-19, neurologists have noticed both acute and long-term neurological impacts of the disease. To better describe the cognitive effects, the research team led by health experts from West Bengal proposed a new term: 'FADE-IN MEMORY,' characterised by fatigue, decreased fluency, attention deficit, depression, executive dysfunction, slowed information processing speed, and subcortical memory impairment.
