COVID-19 test can now be done without a doctor’s prescription in Gujarat

A doctor’s prescription is not needed for anyone wanting to undergo a voluntary RT-PCR test for COVID-19. The state health department announced that as per the new testing guidelines issued by the ICMR, a prescription is not needed for the COVID-19 test.

Gujarat on December 1 announced revised rates for the RT-PCR test in the state. Now an RT-PCR test in a private laboratory will cost Rs 800 which was earlier Rs 1500 per person.
