Covid vaccination report card: Women outnumber men in Bihar, three southern states

More women than men have received Covid-19 vaccines in Bihar, an outlier along with the other South Indian states of Kerala, Tamil Nadu, and Karnataka with similar statistics. According to data available at Cowin, the health ministry portal on vaccination rollout, women account for 53 percent of the total 14 lakh doses administered in Bihar.

For the country as a whole, the percentage of women beneficiaries stands at 45 percent, as of March 15.
