Elon Musk starts new year on a high note as his fortune climbs $30.5 billion

In the wake of Tesla Inc reporting record quarterly deliveries that far exceeded Wall Street estimates, riding out global chip shortages as it ramped up China production, Elon Musk added to his lead as the world’s richest person and he started off 2022 on an upward note.

Elon Musk’s fortune jumped by $30.5 billion Monday to $300.8 billion, according to the Bloomberg Billionaires Index.
