Facebook unveils sanctions for Taliban-occupied Afghanistan

Facebook on Thursday issued new security measures to protect users in Afghanistan, who are already banned from the social media giant’s platforms, following the country’s power takeover by the Taliban.

Facebook’s head of security policy, Nathaniel Gleicher, tweeted: “We are working closely with our counterparts in industry, civil society and government to do whatever we can to help protect people."
