Moderate fog was witnessed over various parts of NCR due to excessive moisture and dip in the temperature, not typical for May which tends to be the hottest month with a mean maximum temperature of 39.5 degrees Celsius. The high-altitude areas of Himachal Pradesh are still receiving snowfall in May. It may be good news for tourism industry, but not for apple growers. Tourist spots near Shimla like Kufri and Narkanda have experienced moderate to heavy rains.
