The 'EPS-95 Rashtriya Sangharsh Samiti' has given 15 days' notice to increase the minimum monthly pension from Rs 1,000 to Rs 7,500. In the notice given by the committee, it has been said that if the demand is not met, a nationwide agitation will be done. Employees Pension Scheme-1995 i.e. EPS-95 is operated by the retirement fund body Employees Provident Fund Organization (EPFO). Under this, more than six crore shareholders and 75 lakh pensioners are beneficiaries.
