Google has announced to block autocomplete suggestions — that could be viewed as being for or against a particular candidate or party — in its Search platform ahead of the US presidential election in November.
It will also remove predictions that could be interpreted as a claim about participation in the election. The social media companies are under tremendous pressure to curb the spread of misinformation and fake news on their respective platforms.
