NATO has established the Defense Innovation Accelerator for the North Atlantic (DIANA) to connect the alliance with startups and academic institutions working on emerging defence technologies. DIANA aims to address real-world challenges, such as GPS-denied environments, through technology challenges and partnerships with tech clearinghouses. Its mission is to develop disruptive technologies for defense and security while also addressing global systemic risks like climate change.
