How scientists found 'Nemo,' Australia's newest dancing spider

In a wetland near South Australia’s Mount Gambier, Sheryl Holliday caught a glimpse of something tiny jumping out of the frame. She discovered an entirely new species of peacock spider, a group of little-known Australian jumping spiders known for vibrant colours and elaborate mating dances.

The Nemo peacock spider is the latest in a flurry of peacock spider discoveries that have brought their known numbers from just 15 in 2011 to 92 today.
