IIT-D start-up develops affordable infection-proof fabric

Fabiosys Innovations, a deep-tech healthcare start-up incubated at IIT Delhi, on Monday said that it had developed an affordable medical textile called Fabium which destroys 99.9% of the bacteria and viruses within 30 minutes.
The innovation, it said is almost as breathable as regular fabrics, which makes it very useful in making masks PPE kits.
