In Andhra Pradesh, Elephant electrocuted in Chittoor district

An elephant was found electrocuted at an agricultural field in Kiramanda village of Bangarupalem mandal of Chittoor district on Friday. The incident occurred when the elephant strayed into an agricultural field and got entangled in the electric wires of the water pump set. In the last decade, close to two dozen wild elephants were electrocuted in the combined Chittoor district.
