On Saturday, DCGI approved the commercial launch of " Feluda ".

This test uses an indigenously developed, cutting-edge CRISPR technology for the detection of the genomic sequence of the SARS-CoV-2 virus. This ‘Feluda’ test could cost just about Rs 500. It can be used in a way similar to pregnancy test strips widely available over the counter. It has been named after the famous fictional Bengali sleuth, Feluda, who popularly appeared in novels by author Satyajit Ray.
