India turned to Morocco to secure fertilizers after China suspended exports of ammonium phosphate, a key ingredient in fertilizer production. Over the weekend, during Fertilizer Minister Mansukha Mandaviya’s visit to Morocco, Moroccan phosphate giant OCP Group announced the signing of an agreement with India to supply 1.7 million metric tons of phosphate fertilizer over the next 12 months to New Delhi. Under the agreement, OCP Group will supply 700,000 tonnes of fertilizer to India.
