Indian Navy successfully test-fires indigenous MRSAM Missile from INS Mormugao

Three months after successfully fire-testing from INS Visakhapatnam, the Indian Navy, undertook the maiden Medium Range Surface to Air Missile (MRSAM) firing from Indian Navy’s latest indigenous guided missile destroyer INS Mormugao, validating the capability to engage Anti-Ship Missiles. MRSAM has been jointly developed by the DRDO and the Institute of Actuaries of India (IAI) and produced at Bharat Dynamics Limited (BDL), reflecting the Navy’s commitment to Atmanirbhar Bharat.
