INS Garuda gets new Commanding Officer

Captain Kodalapuram Sri Vatsa has assumed the command of Naval Air Station INS Garuda at Kochi at a ceremonial parade on Thursday. He is the 34th commanding officer of INS Garuda — the Indian Navy’s oldest air station. He took over from Commodore V B Bellary, who is moving to Bengaluru for his next appointment. An alumnus of the College of Defence Management Studies, Secunderabad, Captain Sri Vatsa is an accomplished pilot and a qualified flying instructor.
