Israel becomes first nation to give third Covid vaccine shot to people over 60

Israel’s health ministry on Thursday said it will offer a third dose of Covid-19 vaccine to people over the age of 60 years starting Sunday. The ministry said the third dose will be given to those who have been vaccinated with both doses at least five months ago.

Following this announcement, Israel became the first nation to announce that it will give booster doses to prevent Covid-19 infections among vaccinated people.
