Jignesh Mevani Gets 3 Months In Jail

A magisterial court in Gujarat on Thursday convicted the independent state MLA Jignesh Mevani and nine others in a five-year-old case of holding an 'Azadi march' without permission.
The court sentenced them to three months' imprisonment. Mevani and others found guilty of being part of an unlawful assembly, under section 143 of the Indian Penal Code.
