Litigation: U’khand on way to become 1st state to implement UCC

Post-independence, Uttarakhand is all set to become the first state in the country to implement Uniform Civil Code (UCC). Recently, the tenure of the committee was extended by a period of six months, and CM Pushkar Singh Dhami said he plans to implement UCC in the state within this time span. He added, "Uttarakhand is a very important state from the strategic point of view for the country.”
