Man threatens serial blasts in city, held in UP

The city police commissioner’s office on Wednesday received a letter threatening that serial bomb blasts will be carried out across Ahmedabad on Republic Day, Thursday. The CP’s office received a letter on Wednesday morning. It had Paswan’s name and phone number. Cops traced the number to Ballia and the UP police traced and detained him. “Paswan and his wife have mental illnesses and the letter was written by them,” said another crime branch officer.
