Meet the four people chosen to orbit Earth in the first-ever all-civilian space mission

An Air Force veteran, a childhood cancer survivor, a geoscientist, and a tech billionaire are the chosen ones. SpaceX is planning for a liftoff of no earlier than September 15. The ship will depart from Kennedy Space Center's Launch Complex 39A.

It is expected to orbit Earth for three days at an altitude of approximately 335 miles. They will ride aboard the Dragon spacecraft.
