National Titanic Remembrance Day: All you need to know

April 15 is commemorated as National Titanic Remembrance Day every year after the iconic ship hit an iceberg on the night of April 14, 1912, and sank in the Atlantic Ocean with 2,224 passengers and crew members on board. The RMS Titanic was the biggest ship of its time, a British passenger liner, and considered ‘unsinkable’. Its maiden voyage from Southampton, England to New York City in the USA, was much hyped and the rich and famous were aboard this ship.
