If you were planning to head to the sunshine state in the near future, you might want to reconsider. Goa is going under lockdown again amid a rise in COVID-19 cases. Chief Minister Pramod Sawant made the decision after Goa, on Wednesday morning, reported 170 new coronavirus cases—its highest-ever single-day jump—taking the state’s total to 2,753.
Starting at 8pm today (Wednesday), the state will observe a “janta curfew” till 6 am on 10 August.
