Nifty above 16,500 amid volatility

Domestic equity market benchmarks BSE Sensex and Nifty 50 were trading flat to negative on Monday. BSE Sensex was down 106 points or 0.2 per cent to 55,662, while the NSE Nifty 50 index fell 0.2 per cent to rule at 16,557. 

Infosys, Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), Hindustan Unilever, ITC, Tech Mahindra contributed the most to the indices fall, while Reliance Industries, Axis Bank limited the downside.
