Advertisers are reacting to the Ministry of Information & Broadcasting’s (MIB) direction to the Broadcast Audience Research Council (BARC) to release the news ratings with immediate effect.

It is unclear as to when BARC will start releasing the data. While news broadcasters are hailing the decision, advertisers exercise circumspection in their response: it is a mix of muffled enthusiasm and cautious reaction.
