Oklahoma's legislature passes bill banning abortion from the stage of 'fertilization'

Oklahoma's legislature on Wednesday passed a bill banning abortion from the stage of "fertilization". The bill will also allow private citizens to sue doctors who perform abortions.

Oklahoma's House of Representatives passed the bill by a vote of 73-16. Other Republican states, including Florida, Mississippi, and Texas, have also enacted similar laws banning abortion.
