Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine ready for first fully approved coronavirus jab

The Covid-19 vaccine developed by Pfizer-BioNtech is set to become the first jab against the disease globally to receive a full-fledged emergency-use authorization from the US drug regulator after more data was submitted to the US drug regulator from a late stage.

This mRNA-based vaccine was the first against COVID-19 to receive restricted use authorization in the UK, followed by the US in December last year.
