PM Modi emphasises self-reliance in defence sector, targets Congress over inflation

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday said that moving towards self-reliance in defence sector was a national service and noted that India is keen to be a major exporter of defence equipment.

Replying to the debate in Lok Sabha on the motion of thanks to the President's Address, the Prime Minister countered Congress over its allegations about and inflation and cited a speech by former Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru from the Red Fort where he had talked about the issue
