French police said 68 people were arrested and 174 people were injured after chaotic scenes ahead of yesterday’s Champions League final in Paris saw riot officers deploy tear gas and beat Liverpool supporters with batons.
There was no breakdown of nationalities or reasons for arrest, but a source said the injuries were mainly from tear gas inhalation.
