Railways to have own intel unit, akin to IB

The Railway Protection Force (RPF) has started developing its own intelligence wing on the lines of the Intelligence Bureau (IB).

Sources said the RPF has framed a standard operating procedure (SOP) to select personnel for the special intelligence branch (SIB) having key functions of collecting secret information on three basic focus areas — disruptive activities, Naxalism and integrity of own force.
