Pa. Ranjith , who has used his directorial voice to great effect in anti-caste films such as Madras, Kabali and Kaala , returns in Sarpatta Parambarai, a film on boxing starring Arya .
The first-look poster for Sarpatta featured Arya in a slightly bruised avatar. The film is said to be set in North Madras of the 1970s when boxing groups were active.
