Sensex, Nifty extend losses to third day ahead

The BSE Sensex fell 844 points to end at 57,147. Its broader peer, Nifty50, ended at 16,983, down 257 points.
Domestic equity benchmark indices extended their losing run to the third rate ahead of key macroeconomic data due on Wednesday, escalating geopolitical tensions and China preparing to push the zero-Covid accelerator once again.
