Equity indices traded sideways with losses in afternoon trade. The Nifty traded above the 17,050 level. Its 100-day moving average currently stands at 17182.67.
The Nifty 50 index lost 121.60 points or 0.71% at 17,075.55. In the broader market, the S&P BSE Mid-Cap index declined 0.16% while the S&P BSE Small-Cap index slipped 0.21%.
