Key equity indices Sensex and Nifty made significant gains on Thursday. The 30-share BSE Sensex jumped 1,047.28 points, or 1.84%, to finish at 57,863.93 points.
The broader Nifty index increased by 311.70 points, or 1.84%, to close at 17,287.05 points. HDFC, Titan, JSW Steel, Kotak Mahindra Bank and Reliance Industries were among the top gainers, while Infosys and HCL Technologies suffered losses.
