Sputnik V hits production roadblock for the second dose of Covid vaccine

Russia's Sputnik V has reportedly hit a roadblock in the development of the second dose of its Covid-19 vaccine in India. The Russian vaccine maker is facing manufacturing issues with producing the second component (AD5) of the adenovirus vector-based vaccine, sources said.

Government sources said a team of Russian scientists visited India for over a month to try and iron out the technical problems being faced by domestic manufacturers in producing AD5.
