With fuel prices soaring, the Trinamool Congress (TMC) hit the streets of Kolkata in protest on Tuesday. A joint rally by the TMC Youth Congress and TMC Chatra Parishad saw students from the state capital and adjoining areas participating in a 3-km-long march.
The rally was led by actor and TMC Youth Congress president Sayoni Ghosh. She took a dig at Union Minister Smriti Irani, stating that she had hit the streets with a gas cylinder when LPG was Rs 400.
