Twitter to shut down Fleets feature from Aug 3

After witnessing a poor response, Twitter has announced to shut down its Fleets feature from August 3. The micro-blogging platform had launched the feature just eight months ago. “We`re removing Fleets on August 3, working on some new stuff. we`re sorry or you`re welcome,” Twitter posted on its own platform.

Fleets are disappearing tweets that sit in a row at the top of users` Twitter handles on smartphones. These ephemeral tweets expire after 24 hours.
