Ukraine's capture of Mariupol, Russia said; Putin praises 'liberation of the city' 

Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu informed President Vladimir Putin on Thursday that the country’s military has completely captured Ukraine’s major Black Sea port city of Mariupol.

However, more than 2,000 Ukrainian fighters are still trapped at the city’s Azovstal steel plant, RT News quoted Shoigu as saying.
