UN Report Reveals Uyghur Rights Abuse In China

The report by the OHCHR, on the so-called “Vocational Education and Training Centre” (VETC) run by China, says two-thirds of the twenty-six former detainees interviewed, reported having been subjected to treatment that would amount to torture.
The damning report says China committed “serious human rights violations” in the Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region (XUAR), and that its actions may amount to crimes against humanity.
